Carolina Speech Pathology to present at 2017 NCSHLA Convention

On Thursday March 30, 2017 from 2:30-4:00, our very own SLPs, Erin Maruzzella, MA, CCC-SLP and Kristin Kopp, MA, CCC-SLP will being doing a presentation at the NCSHLA Convention! “FEES® Based Instrumental Swallowing Assessments, Physiology and Case Studies” will include how to complete a valid and reliable FEES examination, interpret the results of FEES examinations, and use the results to guide therapy for patients with dysphagia. Case studies will be reviewed to further increase the understanding of FEES for diagnosis of dysphagia. Participants will be able to 1) identify when FEES® assessment is indicated and who are the best candidates, 2) recognize what FEES® assessment of swallowing includes, and 3) interpret swallowing physiology during FEES®
